The Exmouth Christmas Day Swim is one of the last few remaining traditions remaining and is one of the biggest Christmas Swims in the UK, if not the world. We have a full and rich archive of photographs from 2007 of the Exmouth Christmas Day Swim. The swim attracts thousands of people each year to watch, hundreds, if not thousands, each year to swim, and several thousand hits to the website, webcam and YouTube videos all showing off the wide variety of fancy dress outfits.

Vibrant Pulse and Daniel Smith Photography, have been documenting the swim since 2007 and have built up an archive of photographs and video’s over this time.

If you would like to use any of the material collected over the years, you must first seek permission from Vibrant Pulse/Daniel Smith Photography via the contact us link on this site. Any questions about the swim can also be answered although we are not organisers of the swim.

  2. Hello,

I’m hoping to put together a feature for Devon Life magazine on the Christmas Day swim. Who is the best person to contact?
Also, it would be great to get hold of a few pictures from the archive.

    Many thanks,

    Chrissy

  3. Hi there,

Could someone let me know who is organising this year’s swim? I can’t find any details for this.

Does the swim have any sponsors do you know?

    Thank you in advance!

    Corinna

    1. Sorry for the late reply, only just seen your comment in the spam list :/ The event is not organised by anyone, is a real tradition.

  4. Hi , my name is Sue Peacock and I’m on the fundraising team for Exmouth & Lympstone Hospiscare. This year we want to encourage as many people as possible to participate in the christmas swim for our charity . I am hoping to set up a website and Facebook page to promote this and have even contacted the Guinness book of records so that if it is a success this year enter for a new charity swim record next year .
I know your website for the christmas swim is extremely popular soooo I am wondering if there is any way you could help us with the promotion in any way ?
Thank you for your time I have my fingers crossed.

    Sue
